A mobile companion to the athenahealth EHR with the mission of reducing the administrative burden and physician burnout that comes with the regulatory demands of digital documentation. The product vision was to bring a consumer-grade experience to an inherently complex space — meeting clinicians however and wherever they practice, whether that means getting ahead of the day before it starts, making the most of a spare moment between patients, getting home to their families, or giving patients their full attention in the exam room.

The product vision was to bring a consumer-grade experience to an inherently complex space — meeting clinicians however and wherever they practice, whether that means getting ahead of the day before it starts, making the most of a spare moment between patients, getting home to their families, or giving patients their full attention in the exam room.















Impact
Led product design and built the 0–1 design system that unified the product's look, feel, and improved usability across feature areas — and, post-acquisition, brought it into alignment with the athenahealth visual identity as the product came out of beta. The system transformed how design, product, and engineering collaborated, raising the bar on quality, velocity, and craft across every screen that shipped. Scaled a globally distributed design team from 3 to 7, led the research practice to surface clinician pain points and feature gaps, and grew the product from 250 beta users to 45K+ monthly actives. For a provider-facing app, maintaining a 4.5 App Store rating year over year was unheard of — earned by the team's dedication to the clinician experience.
